Technical due diligence on EPC proposals

A developer had competing EPC proposals for a rooftop portfolio and no independent way to compare them.

Acting as owner’s engineer, we reviewed each bid’s design assumptions, equipment selection, warranty terms, and — critically — whether the promised yields would survive a bankability review.

The client negotiated from a position of knowledge, and the winning bid was revised on both price and warranty terms before signature.
